This Privacy Policy explains how Dictation Pal (the “App”) handles information. The App is designed to be offline-first, and most data is stored locally on your device.
Data you provide
- Word lists and study content you create/import (e.g. words, sentences).
- Practice results (e.g. session history, marking, attempts), stored on-device.
- Optional images you choose for OCR import (camera/photo library).
What the App does NOT do
- No account registration is required.
- We do not run our own server to store your word lists or results.
Third-party services
The App may use the following third-party services. Their processing is governed by their own privacy policies.
- Google AdMob (advertising, shown in Parent Mode unless ads are removed). Ad providers may collect device identifiers and related data for ad delivery, frequency capping, and fraud prevention.
- Apple In-App Purchase (StoreKit) for one-time purchase to remove ads and restore purchases. We do not receive your payment details.
- Dictionary API (English dictionary lookup). When you request a definition, the app sends the query term to a dictionary service to fetch results.
Device permissions
- Camera / Photos: used only when you choose to scan/import words via OCR.
- Microphone: the App does not record audio by default. If a feature requires audio input in the future, permission will be requested at that time.
Children’s privacy
The App is intended for educational use. Parents/guardians should supervise children’s use. The App does not require children to create accounts.

本私隱政策說明 默書寶（Dictation Pal）（以下稱「本 App」）如何處理資料。 本 App 以 離線優先 設計，大部分資料會儲存在你的裝置內。
你提供的資料
- 生字表/學習內容（例如你建立或匯入的字詞、句子）。
- 練習紀錄（例如默書成績、批改、作答記錄），會儲存在裝置內。
- 可選相片：你選擇用 OCR 匯入時（相機/相簿）才會用到。
本 App 不會做的事
- 毋須註冊帳號。
- 本 App 不會把你的生字表或成績上傳到我們自家伺服器作儲存。
第三方服務
本 App 可能使用以下第三方服務，相關資料處理受其私隱政策約束：
- Google AdMob（廣告；預設只在家長模式顯示，移除廣告後不再顯示）。廣告供應商可能會收集裝置識別資料等用作投放、頻率控制及防止欺詐。
- Apple App 內購買（StoreKit）：用於一次性購買移除廣告及恢復購買。我們不會取得你的付款資料。
- 英文字典查詢服務：當你主動查字典時，本 App 會把查詢字詞送到字典服務以取得結果。
裝置權限
- 相機 / 相簿：只在你選擇使用 OCR 掃描匯入字詞時使用。
- 咪高峰：本 App 預設不會錄音；如將來某些功能需要音訊輸入，屆時才會向你請求權限。
兒童私隱
本 App 供學習用途。建議家長/監護人監督兒童使用。本 App 不要求兒童建立帳號。
